in Credit cards
Just got declined for a virgin 0% on the grounds that they feel I already have enough existing credit available to me.
Well yes I do but none of it is at 0% that was the whole point of applying for it !!!
How can I BT to a 0% if I cant get a 0% Card???

You can't but there are quite a few to choose from and rejection from one company does not necessarily meean rejection from them all.

Thanks for super speedy reply.
Would it be a good idea to wait a few months before applying for another? Ive had 2 searches on my file this month. I dont want to look desperate and I meet all my payments, just fed up of paying off the interest when I could be paying off the balance0 -

Maybe a good idea if you can keep up with your current payments for a couple of months.0 -
Then why not reduce some of it?starsky365 wrote: »...they feel I already have enough existing credit available to me.
If you owe, say, £5K...but have credit limits totalling £25K, then that may be what's frightening them off.
Do you have a lot of spare capacity?
If so, consider reducing it (don't go too far because that could create a 'maxed out' appearance). The time taken for it to show on your credit file (5-8 weeks) will also help reduce the effect of the two recent searches.0
