NatWest balance transfer - BEWARE!

I recently applied online for a NatWest credit card, on a balance transfer basis.
The card and PIN came through fine, but when on the offchance I checked the balance on the card, it was clear that no debt had in fact been transferred.
I checked the balance of the card I was transferring the debt from and it hadn't changed either.
I rang NatWest and, although they were quick to rectify the problem and send a payment to my previous card for the balance, they admitted that they had had a systems problem with the online balance transfer applications and that many transfers had not in fact taken place as they should.
SO IF YOU HAVE REQUESTED A BALANCE TRANSFER TO A NATWEST CREDIT CARD YOU'D BETTER CHECK IT HAS ACTUALLY HAPPENED!

... isn't this something you should be checking as a matter of course anyway? F'rinstance to ensure that the card you're transferring from won't be incurring any interest/late payment charges because they've not received payment?Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0
