Hi
I sold some cufflinks last Saturday week, so 12th July.
I had not received payment by the 16th so emailed the buyer asking when he was going to pay.
17th he replied that paypal had not let the payment go through as he was up to his limit, and he had to link a credit card, which paypal would then send him a 4 digit pin number so he could make payments, and this would take a few days, he asked if he could send a personal cheque.
I mailed back on friday and said I couldnt accept a personal cheque and had e heard from PAypal yet, he's still not responded yet.
Can I just tell him to forget it and relist the item?
Or is there anything else i can do

NPB dispute is your friend! My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Or if you didnt want to go down that route try a mutual agreement so you can get your fees back and relist. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -

No way...if a buyer doesn't pay or won't pay then it is not mutual, why let them walk away from it and maybe keep on doing it to other sellers? Anyway a mutual is asking for trouble as a buyer can tick the wrong option and the sellers loses the fee reclaim. Any buyer who is too dim to pay is also too dim to do a mutual.

Why not just take a cheque, 6 working days and it's definatly clear, no fees.
Unlike paypal."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Agree 100%.
Sorry OP, I ask another question.
If i open a mutual, but buyer does respond within deadline, can i get the final fee? thanksIf it seems to good to be true, it probably is.0 -

If the buyer does not respond then you can get your FVFs back, if however the buyer responds and ticks the wrong statement you will lose the FVfs entirely.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ok he's messaged me again
What shall I do?Hi.
I have just tried to pay using Paypal again. It has come up, again, saying I have exceeded my spending limit and I need to verify my card. This entails them charging my card with £1 and then sending me a 4 digit code, which I then use to verify the card. However, I have to wait until my statement comes in before I can see the 4 digit code!!! So, I don't know how long it will be before I receive my statement and can complete by Paypal. I am happy to send you cash if you will not accept a cheque.
Unless you know how to verify a card without the code?
Kind Regards:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
