Hi,

I am planning to go to London for 3days(I"ll be going on saturday morning and coming back on monday afternoon) for the first time and have decided to visit the following places but I don't know in which sequence should i be seeing these and what transport and route should i be using.I"ll be staying at Holiday Inn London Elstree M25 Jct 23.I would be really grateful if anyone of you can plan the journey for me...

The places i want to visit are:
  1. CHANGING THE GUARD
  2. Ceremony of the Keys
  3. London Eye
  4. London Eye River Cruise
  5. Oxford Street
  6. Hyde Park
  7. Natural History Museum
  8. Science Museum
  9. Victoria and Albert (V & A) Museum
  10. British Museum

        That's an enormous amount to pack in in a couple of days, particularly if you're staying outside the centre.Are you expecting this to be a particularly frenetic visit because you'd really get more out of it if you cut things down a bit. Four museums! Even if you spent only a couple of hours in each, that'd be a long, exhausting day.

        Personally I'd start by cutting out Oxford Street (shops are shops wherever you are),British Museum (nowhere near anywhere else you're visiting) and Hyde Park (grass!). The other museums group together well in South Kensington and you could then spend your other day in and around Westminster doing the other things, which are all within walking distance. Have a good trip!

        I'd be a bit "museumed out" by that itinerary, and like OlderNW says, oxford street isn't that amazing, unless you have teens who are desperate to see the big Topshop or any other large stores! I notice you haven't included any of the more interesting neighbourhoods like Camden Lock/Market or one of the big street markets like Brick Lane, which I love, or Covent Garden which is very touristy but still great!
