should i sell my latest mediacentre toshiba computer?

i bought 2 computers but the 2nd one never got used. i keep saying to myself that we will use the second one at some stage but my partner says by the time we get round to using it it will be out of date. It is the latest one with TV facility etc. I have the full specs somewhere. it is still in the box too. so my partner suggests that we sell it. what are your thoughts on this? it was initially in the shop at dixons for £1600 but i bought through the web earlier on this year at about £1400. any tips appreciated. thanks in advance.

if its not being used, then personally i would sell it.
If its a new model with decent specifications, make sure you sell it in the places where the "techies" (no offence, i like to think of myself as one :-) ) will see it.
Ie, a local free ads will just get your general browsers and most people may just think its over-priced.
Be interested to know the specs you got for £1400 :)

There are not many techies going to pay £1400 for something they could lash together for £700. Without the specs the price is meaningless. I bet it is Intel based however. At work we periodically get new PCs. It is not uncommon for the new PC to sit in its box for months while new user plucks up enough courage to unpack it and try and get it to have the same information/ settings/ software as the old one.

  • How much earlier this year? If it's been in the box for six months you might wince at how much it's dropped in value.
