they where on watchdog be very carefull

That was then this is now.

The reason they are selling these is just this reason people are worried about red letter days, they are rebranding next year and are selling off old stock.

They have new owners and this company has no more chance of going bust than any other you buy from.

Just an update, make usre you check about the theatre bookings before buying, I enquired what the Culture Couples voucher was valid for as a couple of links on the redletterdays website were broken, reply was as follows

I can confirm that on Monday 1 August, Red Letter Days went into administration. We can confirm, that the assets and goodwill of the company were purchased by Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis on Tuesday 2 August.

Due to the above, we are not taking bookings for the Theatre Evening For Two experience which is why no information is on the website. Information is not available as yet for the Flower Shows as all the shows have finished for the year.

A Tour of Wedgwood for Two: Your experience begins after coffee and homemade shortbread biscuits when you'll tour The Wedgwood Visitor Centre, the factory's multi-million pound visitor attraction. Following a three-course lunch it's time to throw a pot with a master potter. You'll also receive an exclusive gift and a privilege card giving free entry for one to the centre and also to Trentham for two years, and your pot will be fired and posted to you. There are interactive and static exhibits and you'll be able to watch and talk with some of the experts turning, throwing, assembling and decorating pottery.

An RHS Flower Show for Two: Your experience includes entry for two to the Chelsea, Hampton Court or Tatton Park Flower Show, plus annual membership of The Royal Horticultural Society for one. As an RHS individual member you'll also enjoy free entry to over 100 gardens in the UK; privileged entry and reduced rate tickets to the flower shows, including BBC Gardener's World Live; a subscription to 'The Garden', the monthly RHS magazine; the RHS free gardening advice service; and free seeds, harvested from RHS gardens.

A Wine Tasting Evening for Two: This experience includes an expert and entertaining presentation on wine tasting. Then you'll be given a range of red and white wines to taste. Your expert host will give you the ability to assess a variety of wines in a 'blind tasting' as well as helping you to unlock the mysteries of picking good from bad, finding bargains and avoiding problem wines. You will be asked to compete in teams to find the overall winner, who will receive a wine encyclopedia.

A Summer Concert for Two:This experience includes two tickets to the concert, a bottle of wine, plus one official souvenir programme. On arrival you can enjoy a pre-show welcome drink and nibbles at the Red Letter Days marquee. Your evening will include a musically choreographed aerial display during the first part of the concert. The classic proms programme is performed by a full symphony orchestra and ends with a spectacular firework display expertly synchronised with the music. Fast track entry parking for one vehicle is also included (disabled parking is available for badge holders).

    Thanks Woby_Tide.

After reading your note I called them as I have two Balloon Flights, a couples coulture evening and Zorbing for two.

Hot Air Ballooning no problem taking booking from Jan 2006 (dont satrt til mark anyhow)
    Theatre not taking booking
Zorbing for two - not taking bookings

She said they may open up the theatre and Zorbing again but could not guarantee it. She did however say I could exchange them for any other red letter day of the same value. I explained I bought them for half price, she went away to ask and came back to say the exchange would be based on the face value not the price paid.

If I can't find an alternative Debenhams can have them back.

A full face value exchange may be a good deal, have to have a look on the site.

She also said the 2006 range under new managment would be published in November.
