Debenhams Red Letter Days

Hello All,

Thought that i would let you know that Debenhams in Dundee have all their red letter days half price!

I have an orange experience voucher that cost £99 originally for £49.50 and allows you 10 different experiences or rather a choice of throughout Scotland. These included:-

Bird of prey experience,
Canoyoning for two,
Golf Lessons & 18 holes,
Horse riding for two,
Life coaching,
Light aircraft flying (i fancy this one myself),
Microlighting,
Quadbiking,
Scuba Diving for two,
White water rafting for two.

Only draw back is that the voucher expiry date is 15/02/06 but still handy for xmas or upcoming birthdays for those you dont have a clue what to get for.

There was quite a few to chose from starting at £24.50 - blue experience voucher which includes:-

Adopt a dolphin,
Aromatherapy Massage,
Canyoning,
Floatation (you can do that in your bath anytime!),
High speed passenger ride (on what with who doesnt say)
Jet Ski-ing,
Karting,
Kayaking,
Scuba Diving for two - handy for mum & dads chrissie here
or White water rafting.

There was i think ferrarri driving experience too and that was about £130 as well as a few others. Worth a look if you want something different or you just dont know what to get someone as they have it all.

Note that all seem to have the February expiry date on them and you need your receipt to claim the experience but i just got gift receipts so they cant see the price.

Good luck and dont forget you get nectar points too - i forgot my card !

yes I saw this in their east kilbride store too. The only prob is are the activites being hounoured ?
  • I would be careful with these. I did actually see these reduced myself in Wigan but decided against it after watching a programme on tv a couple of weeks ago about the Red Letter company. Apparently, they went bust earlier this year and people aren't having their experiences honoured.

Make sure that you speak to Red letter Day before you buy one as I bought one earlier in the year from a different retailer and it's not being honoured. I'm now trying to get my £120 back from my credit card provider.

    Hiya all again,

Thanks to the above who have posted - after reading what you have said i did some research (after panicking first of course) and it looks like that the days are being honoured after all. The company has been taken over and its old vouchers that are not being honoured but ones purchased from Debenhams seem to be fine so hopefully panic over.

You can read more about it at :-

  • I can confirm the above. I bought one for my Dad's birthday earlier in the year and when he tried to use it recently he was told that Red Letter Days had gone into administration. Luckily I bought it from Debenhams who are honouring the vouchers - fortunately I had kept the receipt 'just in case' (phew!).

£49.50 seems about the right price to pay for any of these activities,£99 is rather inflated. We (family of 4)are going white water rafting tomorrow and it is costing £100.
