Pre-booked seats - Bmibaby and Monarch

Hi
I am flying with Monarch and Bmibaby from Birmingham to Malaga this summer and have paid for pre-booked seats.
I have since read about a number of unhappy people who didn't get their pre-booked seats.
I pre-booked them so that I could sit with one child and my husband with the other. Neither of the children have flown before.
Has anyone had any problems with pre-booking or have you found them to be OK?
Thanks

I can't comment on your own situation but in all the times I have flown with the kids On EasyJet, KLM, BMI, Virgin Atlantic and Delta I have never had a problem of getting adults and children sitting together.
There would be chaos in the cabin if an airline did not do this - my advice is not to worry. Remember to get to check in early.0 -
you will be fine0

For the past few years I have always pre-booked seats (actually booked seat numbers) and it's been the absolute best. It's easy to check in early in the UK, not so simple abroad (especially if relying on tour operator coaches). It means we arrive stress free at the airport both ways. We always take the confirmation of booking with us and haven't had a problem yet.
It's great not worrying about getting split up.0 -
We had a slight problem with pre-booked seats with Bmibaby on a recent trip to Warsaw. On the outward leg the plane was a smaller type to the one on which I had booked the seats. So, although I had originally booked for seats three rows from the back, we actually got the back row. Correct seat numbers, but wrong position.
On the return leg it was the "proper" plane, so correct seat numbers and position. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
