Surely FF you'd hae realised by now, the things you need to buy, after doing the same shopping for years...
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

So now I know who it is that piles all that rubbish up at the side of the conveyor belt that falls back onto the belt and gets put through with my stuff.

I would urge people NOT to do this, its annoying and timewasting.

Interesting comments. I can see some people's point of view but I don't agree that it's annoying or time wasting. I've been more delayed by customers not having enough cash, changing their minds about an item or the cashier making a mistake. I accept what I do may cause a little extra work, but not as much as some people are thinking. Usually I'd only be placing 1-4 items aside and they'd normally be non-perishable.

Someone who clearly has never worked in a supermarket.

Everyone should be made to work in customer services before they are set loose in shops and then they might show some consideration for the people that work in these jobs.

But its still extra work for the shop assistant who has to go and put it back on the shelf. And as others have said, surely by now (as you said you had been doing this for awhile) you should have learnt not to put the items in your trolley in the first place.

You obviously have never worked as a shelf stacking fairy then.

It uses to me  off when I had to spend the first 15 minutes or so of a shift going up and down the aisle playing the game of odd one out.

You would find everything from half drunk bottles and cans to half eaten food ( I am not suggesting that FF is doing this) to pairs of shoes and trainers and underwear etc from the clothing section. Just chucked up on the shelves and that was in biscuits aisle :rotfl:

Use to end with a huge pile at the end of my aisle waiting for someone to pick it up and deal with it. That was someones job just to go around pile up a trolley full of misplaced stuff to then sort through and bin if needed.

I know you are leaving your stuff at the till but the person on the till will have to call a colleague off the shop floor to clear these items away.

    Yours

    Calley

OP its a good idea in essence but can you not decide if you want the item when you pick it of the shelf and if you dont wnat it you put it back, ive worked in various supermerkets and it does annoy when we would find various items from the other end of the store eg fresh meat dumped in the freezer which meant it had to be chucked all because the person who picked it up couldnt be bothered to go and put it back,
