Well at work tonight we had run out of grated cheese again, in our shop everything sells out in the first few hours of the store opening so alot of people leave disappointed. Saying that I had lots of Muller Corner 6 packs keeping me busy, and I had to point out they were on offer to so many customers who were picking up the single pots that are 4 for £2, the promotion signs are right infront of them to!

Had to laugh at the Visions and Values training we had...

    Hi,

Also a point to note: Whilst these promo's are designed to offer the best value to customers, they are also designed to get people into our stores - primarily those who may not normally shop with us. It's very easy to buy all eight items for £4.00, but do you need them all and how many other items will you pick up whilst you are there....mmmn the doughnuts look good lets get a packet! (I have to say our doughnuts are great)

If I go to a shop looking for an advertised offer and don't find it, I never go back.

PuCk World do this with stupidly cheap laptops, then when the punter gets in there, they only manage to find models costing hundreds of pounds more.

For instance, have you ever managed to get stock of Griffith Park Sparkling Rose since the fiasco last Christmas? I went to 3 different stores a total of 7 times only to be let down by delayed deliveries and other lame excuses. I might as well have gone to my nearest store and bought real champagne for all the time and fuel wasted.

Another reason not to shop at Morrisons.

    Mark

Oh, and those doughnuts, how do they compare with Krispy Kreme?:D

That was really interesting...but I guess, if a manager really doesn't want to stock the 50p items, if he's slow in getting them onto the floor on Monday, and thus has low sales, he wont get much more stock for the week...unless I complain!!!
I have to say my local one is very bad, I've waited nearly 15mins to get a dvd at customer services, and so complaining will take forever, and I only get 30 mins lunch break!

that would never happen, as the stock would still come in, and then the build up of stock would creae waste, which the manager would have a hard time explaining, and if there is one thing the top brass at morrisons dont like it is waste, and also, if any of the top brass where to do a surprise call on the store and found the stock not on the shelf, then the manager would be in for a very hard time
Take every day as it comes!!

  • I think they have got their act together a bit better this time - at least they have in my local store. I went in yesterday about 3.30 pm and there were loads of the bread buns, bags of cheese, cherry tomatoes and ham. (I didn't look for the other items) During the last 50p week everything had gone before lunchtime. Let's hope it lasts this time!

that could mean, either a) they have got more stock this time around, or b) not as many people are buying into this offer this time around

I would think Morrisons doughnuts are a lot easier to get hold of...I couldn't easily find Krispy kreme in New York, never mind at home!
