Yeahhhhh! I'm getting somewhere with DDs room. At the moment we have one set of nice furniture between the two children's rooms and lots of naff furniture. So, i've just taken the floor to ceiling drawer and shelf unit and put that in ds's room. That means three shelves have to come off his wall and they'll fill a nice gap in dd's room. He then has all the nice stuff and DDs will get a new wardrobe / shelving unit later this year. In the meantime, she has more room in her room and i've emptied every drawer and shelf on the sofa under her bed. It literally touches the underneath of the mattress.

I'm being ruthless - she told me to be. If something is broken it's being flung! If something is ripped it's being flung. If it's been at the back of the drawer since this time last year when I did this to her room it's being flung. All her favourite toys are going to be out on shelves for her to play with and i'm setting up a little music corner for her CD etc. Her prize pocession - the guinea pigs - now have a space along the wall rather than being stuck in the middle of her room. I felt sorry for them whilst I was in there as they're never in their cage when she's home and i've not had that out at all.

DH phoned to see how ds is. I told him I needed him to put three shelves up. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - he was really annoyed!!! I've re-jigged two rooms with one hand out of use and ...... ok, i'll go and breath!

    Speak later xx

No, its not just you, I'm the same. I havent bought skin moisturiser since finding this site last year ;) I seemed to have acquired 7 or so bottles of the stuff. I'm now really strict with myself and dont buy anything until the last bottle is finished.

pigpen - well done on DD's result.

was it poohbear that used to be a HE teacher and left me a message on last weeks thread? Or was it pollybear? I dont think I thanked you for the message. I'm still waiting to hear back from the uni, so will probably pm you then :D

I was going to do lobby until I found my carrots were black as they had been left in the plastic bag and not in the fridge.

    What's lobby?

If the carrots only have black areas on them but haven't got all squishy then you might get away with peeling them. I've done that loads of times. Sometimes the black is only on the skin.

School run done so just having a cuppa. Nearly finished DS2 room - like you Mudbath the landing is now full of stuff he doesn't want anymore. I need to sort into save for DS3/rehome/chuck/sell. I just need to hoover the middle of the floor - I've pulled everything out and done the rest.

JJ I did savoury crumble last week with mince - like fruit on the bottom but leave the sugar out of the crumble mix and add mustard powder and cheese.

Can I just give my kids lots of sweets and crisps and never mind dinner? I can not be arzed.

I may just bung some chips in the oven and have a pretend chip shop tea.

Its really hot here today it must be in the 20s. Mum enjoyed the sunshine and her walk. Called at DDs for a cuppa and we sat in the garden.

Came back and tackled my garden which has decided to turn itself in a wild one. Besides the poppies are a flower Ive identified as cranebill. Also found some holly growing between the paving slabs and have replanted that.

Sat outside a while but came in as it was too hot.

Now im off to tackle the bathroom.

Im another one who has a collection of toiletries. Got enough shampoo to last me a lifetime.

juliejim You mentioned ice cream so I just had to go across the road to the cafe that makes their own. Its lush!

    poohbear59 Hope you are ok.

Mudbath Hope your hand is ok after all that moving of furniture.
