I am stuck in the dark ages when it comes to televisions and I have an old tv with a video/DVD in one. I have never had Sky or Cable.
I am thinking of getting Freeview and came across Freesat at http://www.freesatuk.com. Has anyone got this? What's the difference? Is one worth getting over the other.

The difference is the number of channels and the price.
You can get a freeview box for about £30 and the digital sat would cost about £85 + installation of the satellite dish (which you could do yourself but its tricky.)
I would definately go for the freeview box. There are only slightly less channels, and the extra channels you would get with the sat are crap anyway. If you're feeling down, you must be holding a duck.0 -
Freesat from Sky costs £150 including a viewing card which you need for the encripted channels, but you won't get More4 or E4 without taking out a subscription.
You do get both E4 and More4 on Freeview.
