Any irregularities are flagged up for further investigation, and if the lender suspects application fraud they will mark your credit file as such with a CIFAS marker.
I'm not saying you've done anything wrong (with any intent?), but just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know?
BTW, I would think £32K is a good salary for a 20 year-old so might, in itself, flag up?
Oh I didnt know this I knew they checked your details and everything, would they simply contact me if there was a problem?
I did phone up egg and they simply told me to put either one of my jobs information on the application it didnt actually matter as long as I put both jobs down in the company info ...
How would I tell if I was suspected for fraud!!? I hope I havent done anything wrong
they would surely contact me first?? 0 -
They wouldn't have given you a card if they suspected application fraud.
If you took advice before completing the form you should have nothing to worry about.
Just out of interest, are you working 2 permanent jobs or is there an overlap. I suppose what I'm asking is will you earn £32K this year?0 -

JUST NOTICED IM ONLY EARNING 16K sorry a typing error thats my mothers wage not mine! I make around 16k a year getting mixed up sorry. I put 16k a year on my application form.
Just realised now when reading over my post so 16k is a decent wage for a 20 year old? For a decent credit limit?0 -
I just got accepted by Egg with a £500 limit, which I also thought was pretty useless as me and OH are trying to shift all his debt to 0%BT cards. He owes £4600.00, I applied for a Virgin 0% BT for 15 months and got excepted with £1000.00 limit so we will transfer £950.00 to that one, and transfer £450 to the Egg card 0% BT 13 months. so now he is left with £3200 on his extremly high interest card, which is alot better than £4600! I think you should def transfer the 95% of the limit for your egg card as that is still £450 that your not going to get charged interest. I think you should also apply for a Virgin 0% BT card, as I got a £1000 limit and I earn less than youxXx0

You answered your own question - you may have a well paid job, but you've only been there a week. Credit card companies need stability, and they had more security in your previous longer-term, lower-paid job than they currently have in your brand new, higher-paid job.0
