Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Board guides are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an inappropriate or illegal post then please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. It is not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Any views are mine and are not the official line of MoneySavingExpert.

Remind me not to tell dh the URL for this site!!!
He asked me last night - just as I was dropping off to sleep - if it was ok if we dig up our WHOLE lawn and plant some veggies!!
I should point out that we have a fairly small garden anyway, and that he works so much our lawn is always the only one on the estate that hasnt been mowed for a month (we live in one of those places where you get woken at 8am on a summer Sunday morning by the whole estate's lawn mowers  ) !!
AND I should also point out that both he and I have whatever the polar opposite of green fingers is (or should that be are??) - anything that comes into our garden or house in a plant pot winds up dead inside a month (if we're really lucky)
So - no, me thinks a veggie plot is not his best ever plan!!! :rotfl:I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0
