Was checking out the ROC stand in the Newcastle Eldon Square shop as fancied trying out their stuff given they grade it on age but it is very expensive. They have lots of combination product sets (all £30+) and I noted that a bag I fancied was not priced (dark blue bag with little white patterns). Asked the SA if she could check out the price for me (given there were no "GWP" type promotions and I simply couldn't see what Iwould have to pay for it, or buy to get it) and she came back and said it is coming up as GWP 0.00. hesitant when it comes to "mistakes", which this clearly is.

I think it is great if someone can get to try out a product for free or cheaply for their own use, but I am not so keen on those that then abuse the glitch. By this I mean people who will push as many bags through the till as possible without buying any product and will immediately list them on ebay, or those who get free product and then repeatedly take them back for refunds to get revenue, rather than the product didn't suit them.
    .

Well said sjpkgp:T I couldn't agree more with your comments.

BTW, the Roc bags have been around for a while (mothers day GWP) I have a few of these;) (I did buy a Roc product with each bag, despite knowing they scanned for 0.00) they are really lovely. I'm giving them to my SIL and MIL when I visit them next month.

Not been into Boots today. How good am I? I wonder if I will be able to resist popping in tomorrow. Will decide when i've caught up with todays posts:D

    Hi all,

I chickened out on buying the bogof sun cream from No.7, which sounds like I did the right thing as there will be more money off. I tried to justify spending the money on it to get the GWP and couldnt think what I would use it for. Could be a gift to my mum I guess. I also didnt get the No.7 leg oil as it smelt like cooking oil!! Could be that it was an old tester but I didnt see the point in spending £11.50 when baby oil smells nicer. I did however buy, for the first time, Soap and Glory stuff on 3for2 with points. Omg, it smells gorgeous.

    Hi all fellow Boots addicts!

There is a new coupon starting tomorrow. Not sure if it is across all stores or whether it is a till spit or 'voupon'. It is £5 off all suncare...you might want to save ur No7 points vouchers for facial suncare untill then as it works will most other offers such as BOGOFF and saves.
EDIT: This is also on most brands (not sure about uvistat or the other specialist ones)
Not sure how much you have to spend my inkling is £10

    HTH

    xxx

First I know of it. It's definatley not a till spit as the photo voupon is on for another couple of weeks or so.

My local boots (Harlow) is having a digital camera clearout, I bought a Kodak that was £200 when it came out for £25. They had a few others but not many, and it's whatever stock is left. Stock will vary across stores as it's whats left but it may be worth calling in if your thinking of a new camera.

This is very old stock and stock that should have been cleared from stores a long time ago. Would be suprised if stock comes to light in other stores.

Thanks for this, I bought so much stuff at Broad Street that I couldn't carry more and skipped the Oracle! I'll have to check there tomorrow for the eye shadow. Were the Rainbow Palettes with the No7 counter, or the clearance things back by the staircase?

I'm not sure what time you were in Broad Street, but I saw several pink boxes left this afternoon, and none looked opened or "raided" (bought several myself). Maybe people were sifting through them later on, possibly because the opened display box showing the contents had been removed? They had a bit of electricals reduced (I think men's shavers and curling irons, etc) at the end of the aisle where the Botanics facial care is, facing the wall.

Hmm, just checked .com and this is what they say:

In store points cannot be spent on prescription items, infant milks (up to 6 months), gift vouchers/cards, postage stamps, mobile phone top-up cards or insurance products.

Maybe they have changed their regulations.

The main word here is 'cards'. Top up card where what used to be available years ago when you scratched the silver panel to reveal to top up number.

You can use points against etop ups or where you have a swipe card
  • Re urban retreat - it appears I was wrong. Although included in the 1000pts for 3 items offer on .com, it looks like they've done urban retreat as 342 instore. £10 for 3 items still good though.
