  • In response to your queries - there are 3 Boots in Liverpool City Centre - the biggest one is in Clayton Square shopping centre, on two floors, got a big nursery section upstairs. The middle one is on Whitechapel - opposite McDonalds. The smallest one is on Castle Street - it's tiny, not worth bothering with. The big and medium ones tend to have a small clearance section - the clearance section for the big one is in the corner by the tills and front door entrance near the steps and opposite Woolworths. The clearance section for the medium one is usually in the inside corner past the nappies and toiletries. The medium one has two floors (got fragrancies, sunglasses and bath stuff downstairs) so sometimes has bath reductions downstairs in that section rather than in clearance. Not been to any Boots for about a week, but worth checking out the clearance in both the large and medium boots. As of over a week ago there were some reduced fragrances and reduced old no 7 GWPs in the big boots clearance.

    hi everyone!!!

is there any liverpool people on here that could tell me what the boots there is like, im planning on going tommorrow and would b handy to know where the clearance is and what their like at overriding vouchers (model me) etc

with the £5 holiday shop voucher im planning on getting some baby soltan x2
and something out of the no.7 range so i can get the gwp and hopefully get the acm facial points anyone any ideas what i could get with least spend and also if i could use the pc coupon off soltan?

    tia

There are three branches in the city centre. The biggest one at Clayton Square is the best and the biggest out of the three. Clearance section is normally on the ground floor in the corner near the tills by the sun shop. I've never had any problems using vouchers in there.... even with the No7 SA's!
The smaller Boots on Church Street next to River Island also has a small clearance section on the ground floor near the staircase at the back. There is also sometimes reduced stuff in the basement.... but your best using the ground floor tills with vouchers iyswim! :D Have a great day and have a look round the new Liverpool One shops....their great!

Is there any make-up pros about?

i usually use avons glimmer sticks eyeliner, you just wind it up and theres no sharpening needed,is there anything similar in boots so i can use my points and not cash please?

    hi squiggles,
there are some other companies that use a wind up mechanism which you can get in boots (possibly rimmel but can't remember for sure) but avon do have a reduced price online for the glimmerstick and i think they had no p&p recently.

    OFF TOPIC
Thanks Pashy, and for your engagement ring suggestion too jtb2412.
I reckon i am a becoming a (self confessed) diamond expert now after all my research on them :p

I always do my homework on things i'm about to embark on, so know my 4 C's inside out now! And typically, as i've always had expensive taste, it's a curse!
I'm after a square princess cut, D or E colour stone. IF, VVS1 or 2 clarity ;) It has got to be set in platinum and the bigger the carat the better lol.

We're actually off to the West Midlands for an overnight stay on Tues (golf for the fella - YAWN! pamper sesh at hotel for me :T ) so have arranged to go see a jewellers in the area that i found online to choose my setting and my stone seperately. This way i get what i want for cheaper :p
    slightly snipped
fab choice my dear .. that is what I have, square princess cut whopper.. but im a yellow 18ct girl! i also have two .. yes two eternity rings also packed with HUGE fabulous diamonds...
hmmm spoiled moi?? yes I am and i love it!!!!!!!!!!! lol

    ah!!

There was me wracking my brains trying to get a 'shopping at boots' theme to it and it was just a normal acronym!

Ok - so final post here. With the Mr T's H&B you don't really have to 'invest' a big spend to get the points (though you have to wait for H&B booklet to come out) whereas here you seem to have to spend a lot (seeing £18/£30 etc) to get your points. This correct?

Also, I've checked out the advantage card webpage and it seems you can only spend in store- but i'm sure a few years back i saw you could have spa days etc. Is this the case?

And if you do have to spend a bit to get points then surely i should only spend on products I want. Unless the advantage points can be used for other things...

    I am quite frankly puzzled!
Hi Heatherbelle, Boots in a nutshell is about getting lots of gorgeous goodies for pampering yourself or pressies for relatively little outlay in that Mr B often gives you round about what you pay for an item back in points which you can then reinvest on stuff you need / giveaway/ resell etc. It is about combining vouchers/ using online codes/points offers to maximise what Boots give you back.

Sadly you can only spend in store and they are not worth 4x the amount but people generally save up for 75-90% off Sale which is imminent and also christmas

Sorry for the waffle hope thats a wee bit clearer (i know what i mean):D
    Often lots of freebies too!
