Glasgow Pram Centre

i brought first wheels twin elite pram off them not so long ago (baby is now 5 weeks) and when i was using it ithe side that my 2year old dd sat in kept collapsing and her head would fall through the side! strange i thought that a pram would only have 2 popper studs to hold the top bit of the set up in the first place.
rather than sit in a queue phonet the pram centre i emailed them.. twice and got completely ignored! i also emailed first wheels direct and they suggested i take it to a near by store that stocked their product to have it looked at.. well the near by store wont look at it because i didnt buy it from them.. fair enough i thought.
so last night i thought i would have a look again at the seat to see if i could see anything that wasnt attached that should be.. there on the back of the seat was a sticker saying the obvious about a child shouldnt be left unattended etc etc and that MAXIMUM WEIGHT 15KG!!! my dd is 2 and was last weighed several months ago at over 15kg so this explains why it keeps collapsing.
i checked the GPC website and there is no mention in the description about a maximum seat weight. so i call them today and ask for a erefund as its cost me ove 300quid and its not suitable. they are saying i have to send the pram back for them to look at and if there is nothing wrong with it then they will send it back ! well of course there is nothing wrong with it !!!!!!! then i explained about the maximum seat weight and she said 'it doesnt matter its just a guide' .. yeah rightyo luv!
i told them that i would be writing a letter of complaint and getting the consumers involved so she went quiet then said.. 'send the pram back to us and then when then call the consumer people and we will deal with them'
do they think im thick?? send the pram back to them where they could do whatever they liked to it before it was looked at by anyone else?? i think not!
all they want is the pram back with them but to be honest i dont trust them.

im so angry, all i wanted was a refund so i could buy another pram which was suitable for what i wanted.. they should put a better bloody description of the product on the website!

i have also emailed first wheels again and asking them if the sticker on the back of the seat is just meant for decoration!

vent over thanks for listening lol
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A

Having sold prams and pushchairs for a living, most are only designed to around 15kgs or about 18 months.

If they did not show a weight limit, it is up to the customer to ask and ensure that the goods are suitable, very few companies would accept items back just becasue they had turned out to be unsuitable.
