This'll be an easy one (I hope)
Can't get the inbuilt card reader to do ANYTHING - no respnse whatsoever!!
I DID delete some programmes which I thought weren't needed, so have I got rid of the stuff to make it work!!??
Any hints on what to look for appreciated!!
Still OK for uploading from camerea, works fine, that way.

So it wont read from your PC then, maybe systen restore or post make and model of
camera and PC so you can reinstall drivers and software if needed0 -
Are they still visible in Device Manager?
Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > System
Then the Hardware Tab > Device Manager.
Scroll down and see if the card reader is installed. (It may be under harddisks or removalbe media).
If it is, open the device, and click on "uninstall".
Reset your computer and it should find the card reader on reboot and install the drivers for you again and is should work again.
Maybe.If you're feeling down, you must be holding a duck.0 -
No trace of anything in Settings, so not much joy there.
It's Evesham pc - the cameraa is Canon A80 - but works fine on USB cable , it's just the cardreader I've managed to 'loose'
