School trip - broken arm

DD is going to London with the school tomorrow. Her friend has just called in to see her and she broke her arm on Friday. Her friend's mum is happy for her to go to London but she doesn't know whether the school will be happy to take her.

Her friend is devastated and worried about not being able to go.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did the school let you go?

    I've been Money Tipped!
I should think that, if she is able and well enough to go into school, then she should be able to go on a school trip.
As a teacher I'd be happy to take her DEPENDING on the nature of the trip. If it had been a broken leg, however, then that would be another matter!

She is 13 and the trip involves coach travel, London Eye, theatre, hotel and then Thorpe park the following day. She accepts she won't be able to go on any rides at the theme park and return coach trip home.

Is she able to get herself washed, dressed, do her hair etc by herself? If so, I don't see why it would be an issue.

Yes she can do all that albeit she might need help getting tops on or off but the friend she is sharing a room with will help.
