Highly rate richer sounds
we recently bought a TV from them and when i got back hom,e realised their website was quoting a price £100 cheaper- gave them a call - they apologised profusely and refunded us back the 100 quid difference- which made the TV an even bigger bargain!0 -
They've got to be my favourite firm for buying anything of that nature.
I popped into Weybridge to pick up some surround sound speakers and so on not that long ago - I rang up in the morning, the guy told me what they had available, put it on hold, and then told me his name so I could chat with him when I got there. He went all over the shop trying to find exactly what I wanted, and I think his most common phrase over the course of the visit was "I don't think the next model up would be worth the extra money for you". Makes a change from traditional sales staff.
Add onto that the fact that he knocked £30 off my final price, because the first time he added it up he forgot one of the parts, and understated the price by £30, and it's virtually impossible to complain. Oh, and they helped me get all the stuff into the car
Absolutely faultless. If only they sold computer parts as well, I would never need to shop anywhere else...0 -
Bought TV and Hi Fi equipment from them in the past, total bargain! Helpful and knowledgeable staff... I'd swear by them!
They even shut the shop for ten minutes and helped me shoe horn a 38 inch TV in my Clio!0 -
they seemed to know what they are doing when it comes to selling.....
as for the after sales, well i will see what they do about my faulty tv, they cant get an engineer to me when i will be at home for 3 1/2 weeks and then want 4 weeks to send it away, said it wasn't good enough and they said someone from head office will phone me back (i have panel protection)things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
I trust BH even if he's from Manchester..
all your base are belong to us :eek:0 -
I bought my first dvd player form them in 2001. its still going strong but a bit basic.
However there the satisfaction ends. I bought another dvd player in 2003 that went wrong just inside its warranty period. this was replaced with a Cambridge audio one that went wrong just outside the warranty.
SO last June I bought a panasonic DMr-EZ25 form them. This unit was great for 6 months, then had a serious fault. 4 months later the same fault occurred again ( both fixed under warranty but told it would have cost me £200 plus if it hadn't) then you've guessed it same fault again just out of warranty.
Needless to say wont be buying its replacement form richer sounds!!!!!!! they also needed some serious pushing to replace the Failed limit model with a correctly specced one. I Had to write to the store manager pointing out his responsibilities under the sale of goods act.
Maybe ive just been VERY VERY unlucky!!0 -

You can't really blame Richer Sounds for the reliablity of items they sold. Would a panasonic DMr-EZ25 etc from Currys have been any more reliable than Richer Sounds?0 -

1979 Sale of Goods Act? Was this a 1 year warranty? The SOGA would entitle you to a free repair within a reasonable shelf life of the product, or up to a maximum of 6 years (whichever is shortest). I'd expect a decent DVD player to last around 3 years...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
