Saw this as an advert on a website.....
Do you have any children born between 1985 and 2003?
They also claim to be HM Revenue & Customs registered agents.
Any info would be great.

- If so you could be due £1040. Parents are allowed to claim in the 02-03 tax year £1040
- You are entitled to a refund if you had one child that was under 16 at the start of 2002 – 2003
- At least one parent had to be employed in any year from 2002 - 2003 and is not available if both parents or the only parent in the household were on benefits.

I'd go direct to the tax office, you should not need to use an agent who will charge you, when a quick phone call to a tax office will be cheaper just the cost of a call, or just go to their website
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
i saw this the other week,so i phoned our tax office and its actually the childrens tax credit(not child tax credit) that most families havent claimed for 02/03 tax year all you have to do is send your p60 or statement of earnings for that tax year and details of children your claiming for with covering latter and they will look into it for youSaw this as an advert on a website.....

It's not a scam but firstly there's no need to find out your entitlement to a rebate for the now defunct "Children's Tax Credit" through this agent as you can do the research yourself and secondly only a small percentage of those entitled to this tax credit missed out on it so it's giving many people false hope as the chances are they already received this credit. The deadline to claim this tax credit is January 2009. There has been another thread about this recently.0
