oh sozz hvnt replied sooner, half term an'all. im hoping to start my mental health nursing in march, and oh wants baby! decisions decisions! im 35 so dnt want to leave having a baby till i finish course cos am worried about my eggs going stale, but i also dont want to leave doing my nursing cos i think if i have a baby then i'll never get round to going back to college. OH has also offered to give up work for a couple of years to support me, I have an 11yr old from a previous relaitionship, so OH does want one of his own which i can understand. I want to be 5 years younger!0

dear emma b after much deliberation, i have decided to do social work instead which was always in the pipeline, its just that ive worked in nursing for so long as an auxiliary it semed like the next logical step. But ive decided its not for me, so now i need to start all over again in social services! Just got a casual post in a respite home for specisal needs kids, good so far, I'm just taking it as it comes. All the best with the rest of your studies!0

Just a quick update for student nurses in Northern Ireland - in the March payslip it announced that from 1st April we're entitled to Maternity Pay, finally being brought into line with the rest of the UK. Now all we need is to get the child care element brought in as well!Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0
