Cars in the £35/yr tax bracket???

Hi,
I know cars like the Aygo, C1 and 107 are all in this low tax bracket, but are there any larger family cars?
I have an Aygo which I love, and also an old focus, I'm looking to sell the focus and I would like a car similar to the Aygo, but the size of a focus. I'm not interested in speed, a 1 litre is plenty for me!
Any Suggestions??

The small diesel engined Megane is in the £35 bracket and offers a fair amount of space.
Take care to research carefully as there are some quirky issues with cars that just creep into the lower tax band, ie, the same car without a sunroof is in £35 band, with a sunroof it is £115I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Ok, you're looking for cars in the following bands.
0 - 100 CO2 emmisions = Tax free
101 - 120 CO2 = £35
For next year the bands will be
0 - 100 = free
101 - 110 = £20 <<< stays the same for 2010
111 - 120 = £30 <<< rises to £35 for 2010
To find some cars, generally the higher the mpg the lower will be the CO2. The following page will be of some use to find efficient cars
http://www.vcacarfueldata.org.uk/search/fuelConSearch.asp
These are the best (71 - 80mpg)
MINI Hatchback R56
MINI Cooper D Hatchback - with particle filter
Diesel
104 CO2
72.4 mpg BAND B next year!
Ibiza 1.4 TDI 80PS Ecomotion
Diesel
99 CO2
74.3 mpg BAND A !!!
VW Polo 3 / 5 Door
1.4 TDI (80 PS) (without A/C) with DPF BLUEMOTION
Diesel
99 CO2
74.3 mpg BAND A !!!
When you do a search for 61 - 70mpg, For some reason (select 'all' manufacturers) all the cars on the first 2 pages are all 61.4 mpg with quite different CO2 ratings. I can't believe this data can be correct, why would they all have the same MPG rating? Does not make any sense.
But atleast you can view the list and have a good idea of which cars on the market are the best, you can double check the real mpg/CO2 ratings later.
You can also see banding here, which should eliminate any errors in mpg that I mentioned before.

The list are only for new cars, you could for example get a used Corsa 2005/6 LPG which will be current band B going to band C next year 119 CO2 (check the V5 before you buy it).0 -
vauxhall astra, 1998 onwards, the 1.7 DTiNamed after my cat, picture coming shortly0

with only about £6000 - £7000 to spend, I'm looking at a Skoda Fabia 1.4 diesel!!
I have no problems driving a Skoda due to the fact that they now have such a solid reputation!
Thanks all0
