There's a limit to how 'wireless' speakers can be. They will still need a power supply which means cables form wall sockets.

Or batteries, which sounds like a pain in the backside.

I have a 10 year old Philips TV that came with wireless rear speakers as standard (albeit they still need to be plugged into a nearby mains socket). So no clumsy wiring going around the room, makes sense. Wonder why such things are not supplied as standard nowadays.

I don't imagine the sound quality of wireless speakers would be up to the same standard as wired speakers. They can also pickup interference from various sources. I hate wires and would love to live in a wireless world, but I don't think we're quite there yet.

the sound quality qill be nothing like wired....and like your man says interference can be bad if you live in a busy place and you would be taking up lots of plugs for powering them and higher electric bill......or batteries which i reckon will be even worse in sound quality

unless your paying for the high end of the market......if it was that good then we would all have wireless speakers

roll on till they invent wireless electricity !!!!!! and no batteries before people get all smart lol
If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right

My old Philips TV uses wireless for the rear channels, sound quality is OK for this purpose though can be interference prone, have to choose the best of 4 analogue channels.

The modern ones I assume would be 100% digital,
