Reversal Of a Balance Transfer

When I signed up for a Natwest credit card, I requested on the application form that I require a balance transfer of £300.00 to pay off my exisiting HSBC credit card. A few days later, I payed off my HSBC credit card from my current account and completly forgot about the request I made on the Natwest application form.

A few days ago, I received a letter from Natwest stating that they have accepted me for a Natwest credit card.

On 19/07/08, a balance transfer from my Natwest credit card was credited to my HSBC credit card.

My question is, can I cancel that balance transfer?

    Probably too late for that.

You could try asking NatWest to recall the BT, but this may take a few weeks.

Alternatively contact HSBC and see if they can transfer the credit funds to your current account. That might be quicker.
