my emails go out using a different email address

I own my own email address which has nothing to do with my ISP
.Recently my ISP changed my email settings and they are using googlemail.Now when I send an email using my "own" email address it goes out via my ISP email address .
My private email address is set to the same settings as my ISP address for outgoing mail ..
My private address appears in the email heading but they dont go out using that email address .
How can I get my mail to go via my own email address .
