Halifax One card activation number

I got my card through yesterday - I can't believe it's an 0870 number to activate! I've looked on saynoto0870 for an alternative & can see there is an 0800 number. How do I know if it's a genuine number though? Does anyone check them?

if it was a fake number you would know about it, there would be a dozen posts on here if it was for a start
I've used a free number for the halifax card from saynoto0870 before, can't remember what is was.0 -

Thanks moneyuser, all done now. The advisor was totally hopeless though. Apparently they don't have an exact date when the 0% promo ends, he told me I have to work it out mself from my application date. And when I tried to set up a DD for min payments, he said he couldn't tell me what date it should collect, it's my decision. Great!! Think I'll have to call back later.0
