Taking meter readings
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I have taken the readings for gas and electric as we moved into a new flat (2 bed, 2 adults one small child) and then today after being there one month. Now I am a little confused about the results. We have only used 70 units of Gas which sounds very low (we haven't had the heating on). The electricity one sounds way off and I'm wondering if I read the meter correctly. We have those meters which the numbers turn like a padlock combination turn and the end number is red. I'm not sure if I was supposed to include the end (red) number because including it makes the usage sound too much:
1st reading: 020687 2nd reading after one month: 022936
Should it have read 02068 and 02293? making 230 units.
Can anyone clarify?

When I read mine they always tell me not to include the red number, I think it is just a fraction (tenth) of a unit.Wiggly:heartpulsFB0

Looks like you are just below average which is 3300 KWH per year ( 275 per month). You only need the numbers in black.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0
