Cruise control not working on my Alhambra

Hiya

I have a 'W' reg, manual, Seat Alhambra1.8i which I love as it is so nice to drive and very comfy. It has cruise control but recently this has stopped working and I just wondered if anyone knew if this was a known problem and whether it is easy (by which I mean cheap :D ) problem to fix?

As I can drive the car perfectly well without it, I am loathe to spend a fortune getting it fixed but if there is a quick thing OH can look at that may have come loose (you can tell I'm very mechanically minded) it would be great to see if that resolved the problem. Thanks in advance

Most common component to fail with Cruise control and the cheapest to fix fortunately is one of the switches on either the clutch/break/accelerator.
Usually it's the clutch as this is used the most.
