I bought one of these camera's and am hating it already. I only have it 2 days, but I cant work with it
HERE
It's not compatible with my computer as I've Vista on my computer and this camera wont install on it.
I was trying out an old memory card with it and it goes blank, what will I do?
Am I £60 down and having to buy another decent camera for general use

did it say it was compatible when you bought it? if it did you could return it under that. Also if it is not recognising any memory cards than that is a fault surely?
if you do take it back go to comet asap and get the casio x1080 great camera and reduced to £79!! bargain price0 -
Most current digital cameras don't need the software that is supplied on a CD with it to work with XP or Vista. You just need to plug in the USB cable, connect it to the PC and turn the camera on. The card in the camera should be found and will appear in exactly the same way as a USB memory stick would.
If your old memory card is corrupt or incorrectly formatted then the camera may not be able to use it.
As the last post says, if it won't read any cards then it's faulty and should go back for replacement or refund.0 -

To be honest it didnt say it was compatible with vista, I just saw the ad as above on argos online
The memory card is from my nikon coolpix camera, it's SD and it definately says the camera should be compatible with it
I have windows xp on my mums computer so I'm going to try it on that before doing anything, I'm so disappointed though I was very excited about a new camera
Thanks for your help

Your PC doesn't recognise the camera when it's plugged in? The camera's not set to PictBridge is it?
When plugging it into the PC it should be set to PC mode, USB Slave mode, Mass Storage mode, or something similar. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
I thought it would have said compatible with XP and vista, but i cant see anything on google, with the old memory card was there pictures on it, the cameras not been out long has it ? if not then surely it should be vista compatibleNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Unfortunately the camera is
Please note that this product is excluded from our 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. This does not affect your statutory rights. As Vista has been out for a while the camera should work with it personally i would take it back and obtain a refund stating that its faulty.

Various flavours of linux have been out for ages and certain things don't work on them - just because the op can't get something to work doesn't make it faulty...0 -
All you need to do is get a USB SD card reader.

When you want to download just take out your memory card and plug it into your PC via the adapter. No drivers required.
If you want some photo organising software download Picasa. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Have you read the camera's instruction manual? I've had a new camera two weeks and still aren't sure how all the features work despite looking at the manual.
It should be plug and play via the USB port. Download Picassa from Google and see if that works.
Memory cards do fail, but they are cheap enough now - a 512mb one will be enough for the camera I'm still using 128mb cards, but at 3meg setting (10 meg is unneccesary as I don't print to A2 size!) I get over 150 photos on each one.0
