I've got one, had no problems with it. How close are the transmitter and receiver? The LED on my transmitter flashes red every few seconds (haven't tried pressing the green button, and the manual doesn't appear to say what that button is for). I've just noticed that the battery warning symbol for the transmitter batteries is flashing in the display, but the unit is still functioning normally."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

So you need to spend nearly £50 for a gizmo to tell you that stuff that's pluged in, uses your electricity!!
DOH!!

yep, but it tells you your Co2 emissions too
also it helps you identify (by process of elimination) what appliances use the most power.
anyway, the monitor is right next to the transmitter0 -

Sounds like it might be faulty - my transmitter is in my integral garage, and the receiver is a few feet away in the room next to the garage. Even through a solid brick wall and with low transmitter batteries, it's working fine. Efergy's website isn't much use for diagnosing this problem. They have a helpline, it's 0845 177 769."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
