imported_jiggy wrote:Just to let everyone know that this is also available in store so you can save on postage if you live nearby. To sweeten the deal even further they've got an offer on where you get a free pop up Thomas worth £20 if you spend £50 or more on Thomas stuff and they've got loads of deals going on inc 3 for 2 on the engines plus lots of stuff for a couple of pound to push it over the £50

I've picked one up as an xmas present to go with my little boy's other Thomas track and the box is huge
I bought it for my son but I'm sure I will have fun with it too :-)

Just wanted to say that we bought our three year old the smaller set of this from argos 2 weeks ago for his birthday for £34.99 not that much of a bargain now i have seen this!
But i just wanted to say that he absolutely loves it! we have four vehicles and have had to change the batteries in them every single day since his birthday - so i suggest that everyone who has ordered one stocks up on rechargeable ones!!
Hope your children love theirs as much as my little boy does!!0 -
Forgive my ignoance of these things, but are the batteries used to 'motor' the carriages aound the track or do you manually push them? And if they do 'go on their own', does that refer to just the track bit rather than the road section?
Cheers'My father told me to go for it.
So I went for it. But it had gone.'0 -
The batteries do go in the carriage and in the engine, (depending which version you have.)
As far as I'm aware the car/bus are just push around...... but most bits can be battery powered, like Cranky for example.Waddle you do eh?0 -

Here's the pop up Thomas. It's an American site but never mind! - http://www.thomasstation.com/cat/product_info.php?products_id=10200 -

Unfortunately, you'll have to find something to take it over the £50 as the offer won't go through otherwise. The cheapest item would probably be one of the cheap Thomas birthday cards. But as imported_jiggy said, there's quite a few 3 for 2 offers on. There's also BOGOF's as well.0 -

either or. You can push them (the trains at least) or use batteries. You might prefer them without batteries.0 -
Just had a look, the whole lot can be battery powered!
Would advise against pushing them, it is possible but I doubt they would last long. But if that Thmoas is like the one my lad has got, it'll drive you barmy playing a few bars of the Thmoas theme, then going, "Thomas you are a really usefull engine" etc etc.....
As for things to take it over £50.,,,,
200 re-usable Thomas stickers £2.99
Die cast lorry, soft sided, (can't remember the characters name,) half price at £2.49.
They used to have DVD's in Leicester, but they seem to have all gone, (and that's all... not just Thomas ones which were BOGOF!)Waddle you do eh?0
