i hate ebay

i've only just started using ebay again as a seller and quickly remembered why i'd stopped. buyers seem to be happy to bid up your item and then just not pay. and now i cant even leave negative feedback!!!? whats the idea in that? obviously no point in contacting ebay with any problems as they are the most impersonal, faceless, arrogant organisation i've ever dealt with.

what is to stop people just bidding all over the shop with no risk of negative feedback. say if i'm selling an item could i not just put a million pound bid in for all other items similar to my listing, so people would see my item as the cheapest and only option?

when i was in new zealand recently it gave me hope that ebay aren't a world monopoly as kiwis use a site called trademe. just hope someone similar come along and actually give them competition.
What's it going to be, eh?

If you go through the NPB process non payers will soon disappear.

I do all my items buy it now - paypal pay immediately and it works brilliantly. It may mean I lose some buyers, but I never have non payers anymore and I can't be with the hassle. I just have to judge a good, fair BIN price and its easy. Items sell, paid for & sent - sorted :D

There is a shop I actively dislike so I refuse to shop there, I don't however hang about forums dedicated to that shop..I find it a little odd that people are apparently so addicted to ebay they feel the need to post how bad it is all the time.

Some of us still manage to use ebay despite the changes which have irritated us but realistically it is just a tiny cog in the wheel of life, if you don't like it them move on and forget about it and put it completely out of your mind.

righto soolin, we'll just keep schtum about our grievances and let businesses treat their cutomers how they please.
i had this wild idea that a consumer board would be a good place to air my negative thoughts. I would hope that in your 17k posts at least 1 would warn others about a potential pitfall, bad investment or incompetent business and maybe, just maybe one little grumble about something.

u almost sound patronsing in the above post, which may come as a shock to you but thats how i see it.

but u can redeem yourself by telling the world about this shop you 'actively dislike'. i double dare you.
What's it going to be, eh?

ebay has its place not what it was though. Apparently car boot sales are doing very well due to the crunch. Trouble is they want it all for nowt at boot sales. Only ever went to one never again.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I still sell on Ebay and have done for a long time now. But I admit it's not the same as it was.
I have had four people in a week doing "Buy it Nows" not bidding by the way, then not paying.
They all keep saying it wasn't them, but when I read their feedback a few days later, they have gone and bought a similar item and left feedback for the new seller.
I can't leave them negative feedback even if I wanted to as I have 100% feedback now, and some horrid person would retaliate and muck it all up.
    Seems sellers can't win nowadays.
