I have just bought a HP j5730 all in one unit and when I try to install the software it is blocked by a message saying UBSTOR is either non existant or the rwrong version Insert original windows disc. I do not have this disc and am on windows XP. I have tried to find the file on the internet but can't for some reason. Hp told me to get a new USB cable which I did to no avail.
Has anyone had this problem and does any one know how to resolve it so I can install the software???

Have you rebuilt windows receintly, have you installed ahy chipset drivers, these may be missing?

You can't find it because you're looking for the wrong file. It is USBSTOR.sys and usbstor.inf you need. Google for usbstor and you'll find all you need.

Thanks totalsolutions, but I have not touched my PC for years and am certainly not up to the standard of rebuilding windows etc.
Conor the file on my query was a spelling mistake it indeed should have read USBSTOR. I did google it but only came up with sites that wante to scan my registry and sell me something. unless I am looking in the wrong place.
