Flat insurance question on a new build!!

Options
I have a very quick question.

IS the flat guarantee that is offered the same as buildings insurance?

I bought a flat last year and got a guarantee certificate which covers the following

2 years from date of commencement for insolvenvy of developer
8 years from date of commenecment for defects and structure of the bulding.

Now my management company has written to be for a payment of 10 pounds a month for "building and terrorism" insurance?

I am not bothered about terrorism insurance cos frankly, the odds of a plane going thru the building are pretty slim.

But does the flat guarantee not the same as buildings insurance?

Hi ... no, it is entirely different, it will include many other items of insurance cover - fire damage, storm damage and many more. Simply ask the management company for details and you will be able to see, ok?
