A must for anyone who wants rechargable batteries

Found an amazing NiMh battery charger at http://www.digilution.co.uk and what a great little charger. I used the Ansmann's Digispeed before the La Crosse RS900 and it cost me double the price of the La Crosse.
The great thing about the charger is that it can tell you if your old rechargable batteries are duds or not and no other charger can do this and also it has a LCD display that tells you everything about charging and discharging cells.

Its so good you have to make the only two posts you made in these forums about this charger. Are you connected with this company by chance?0

He's selling them and they are RUBBISH.0

nope, I hunted the UK web and could not find the charger in the UK. a Forum in the US led me to the site (by chance) and many others on that forum who are in the UK had the same problem finding the charger. It is like I have said a great charger and thought I could help others find what I took ages to find a lot quicker.Have a look here http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=53695&forum_id=51!
May I ask why you think it is RUBBISH0 -
I have absolutely no idea whether the charger is any good, but digilution really should sort out their website. Very amateurish looking with lots of overlapping text, which I would have thought might put off any potential buyers.

I have no idea either whether the charger is any good and would concur that the digilution website is an amateur effort but I would have thought the price might put off potential buyers !0

Warehouse Express Click Here is alway's worth a look prior to making a purchase. More often than not they have some fantastic offers.

Thanks for posting freedmfighter. I had no problems with the site (I use Opera). I only recently invested in a charger and batteries, otherwise I would certainly consider buying that particular charger.0

That is the part I think is rubbish because it can only guess at whether they are dud or not.
A lot of rechargeables that appear to be dud can be reclaimed with a series of full discharge and recharge cycles (usually 3x is enough) making sure not to overcharge or overdischarge. The discharge needs to be acomplished via a resistor that will drain it over a 10 to 14hr period then recharged over the same period.0 -
I stand to be corrected, but if a cell is a dud, throw it away as there is no way of repairing the cell by means of charge discharge. Many claim cells can be charged a 1000 times....rubbish total cods wallop. Lets say the cell was charged 1000 times, it would therefore be a dud and can no longer be charged.djohn2002uk wrote:That is the part I think is rubbish because it can only guess at whether they are dud or not.

The charge refresh mode is used every 2 months or so and refreshes the cells capacity to its maximum capacity. Remembering that a cell will not and can not be charged to the capacity as when it was first charged.Everything eventually gets old and dies :A0
