I don't see the problem , just setup your laptop with the username & password that is on your other pc

goto a new network connections panel from the controll panel, click on "create new connection" ->next->connect to the internet ,next->connect using a broadband connection that requires pass , next ->enter isp name , next ->enter user details ,next -> finish ....this should do the trick

that is assuming that you are using windows XP ;-)

Is your internet connection dial up or broadband?

If you have broadband you will possibly have an external modem which connects to your computer through a USB port. If it is dial up, you will probably have an internal modem and will have the telephone lead going into the back of the computer.

If its broadband, you will need to load on the modem software and then set up the user name and passowrd.

If its dial up you will need to set up the internet connection on the laptop, you can find these settings on your current computer by going into control panel and clicking on Internet Options and then going to connection and taking the dial up number and username from the settings of the dial up connection (the password will be hidden but I assume you have that somewhere) All you need to do then is put these setting on the laptop.
    Welcome, rogerramjet.
