thunderbird/firefox and AVG-do they work together??

I am having a problem with getting a priority update from AVG.the file cannot be found on the server.This is my first AVG update since downloading t/bird and firefox--is their a connection?Does anyone know if they are compatable?

There seem to be a big update today at least the 3 pc's we have all got updated with quite a large update for an anti virus, I think the program was updated too, Maybe the servers are overloaded at peak times.0

The AVG problem should be completely unrelated to Firefox0

Ah, I think, its just I got one back tonight that said it couldn't be sent as it hadn't been "checked or whatever" by AVG

but that could be because I think the problem is with sending and receiving through Tesco/NTL
