I wanna...find out more info about a ltd company

I can find the name of the company- yet its registered office is not where i believe the actual office to be. (they only have one office i believe)

If your sure it's a limited company (ltd or plc), it should be listed on the Companies House website - provided it is registered in this country and is stil trading or just dormant.

Have you checked the previous names and/or dissolved companies? Is the company part of a bigger group? If you have the company's registration number, that is the most accurate way to find info about them - companies can register their official name but then use trading names (seen as ABC Co. Ltd. T/A Joe's Pizzas 2U for example where T/A = trading as)
