Hi All!
The iron railings are currently in black primer, what colour would you do them?
I've this idea to use Hammerite, so it'll be a long time before needing re-painting & was thinking silver.!
The thought here, being that as we're upstairs, looking out, through the patio doors, it'd be less intrusive of the view.
Or am I being too clever!!??

Tbh, I think it would be less intrusive in black. Silver would stand out too much.
My neighbours across the way have painted their metal fence in silver and it stands out like a sore thumb against the green of their garden. They are going to paint over it in black as soon as they can be bothered (they said, lol)
That said, it's really a personal thing as to what you would like. Go with whatever you feel most comfortable with.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Leave it black... you can "see through it"... silver will make you see the fence and not whats behind it... if that makes any sense...0

Thing is, if they have not been galvanised before they were installed you will fight a losing battle.0

Black...for the same reasons as above.
Just wanted to say what a lovely huge space the decking and large patio doors gives...lovely...hope you get some weather soon to enjoy it! I am sooo jealous0
