Hey all
do tom toms warn you of speed cameras and speed limits? Also are toms toms able to tell what speed you are going at or do they just tell you what speed you should be going at?
also if anyone can link me to any cheap ones feel free (TomTom GB One V3) cheapest i can find is £100!
Thanks!

pullthe pin,
my TomTom certainly notifies me of speed cameras. It also shows me the speed I am doing against the designated road speed. Although I always make sure I am aware of the actual road speed ie roadworks, temporary speed reductions etc. You can set up most things so you are alerted. For instance if I was doing 75 on the motorway then an alert sounds and the speed shown is highlighted.
I have just got a TomTom XL Europe with traffic as I will be going abroad with the car on business, but I am sure you can get the standard TomTom for less than £100 especially if you can get an older version(which you can still update maps on)

Just to add, the designated road speed thing is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. On the A614 outside of Howden, mine goes 60, 40, 30, 60 all in the space of a mile where there was once a temporary limit for 6 months for a short 1/2 mile stretch. It is all 60 limit throughout.0
