Not if you're using Royal Mail.

No it doesn't - I had a couple of ebay sales to post there a few weeks back and it was the same as posting to mainland UK.

No same cost as Northern Ireland ie Uk. Rep. Ireland would be same as sending to Europe.

Though from Northern Ireland, I don't think sending to the Republic is classed as overseas.

This is correct. You can even send something Special Next day delivery to Northern Ireland the same as mainland UK.

These replies relate to Royal Mail. Most carriers charge a lot more to Northern Ireland, Highlands and islands.

They would struggle to charge overseas rates, give it isnt 'over seas', but we do get charged more to post from the north of ireland into the republic, than we would to mainland UK, which is understandable, it being a different country.

Posting to ROI is classed as international. I sent a parcel y'day.

    Really?

In the Republic, it and Northern Ireland are both in Zone 1, so the postage rate is the same.

Strange that it's not treated like phone calls, where it's not an international call.
