Hi,
My lap top has broke... just won't open up!
I keep getting the "Blue Death Screen"!! Everyone keeps tutting and shaking their heads!!:eek:
Anyway, on a serious note, I have lots of photos of the children (that I haven't backed up:rolleyes: ) that I desperately want to recover and also letters etc. I would be greatful for any recommendations of good computer shops/companies around Cardiff that I could take it to!

I suggest you don't go to any of the "big" names, they will charge you a fortune. Visit http://ljcomp.net/ I have used Lyndon for many years and he has just built me a new computer, he will come to you to sort any problems out, and his charges are very reasonable. Send him and email in the first instancce and tell him that Ed recommended you0

It sounds promising i.e. the HD doesn't look damaged:j
He's taken it home to transfer data etc
(complicated stuff).
He's going to ring me at the end of the week:D

I got it back Tuesday but I haven't posted before now as I haven't had chance to reload it with all my stuff etc (kids on school hols since weds:rolleyes: ).
However, its working and I'm a happy bunny:D
