Cheap Hotel wanted Hammersmith area

Hi all,

Just booked some theatre tickets for 23rd May 09 at Hammersmith Theatre. Will be travelling down on train to Euston Station. I am in need of a cheap hotel somewhere near the two for one or two nights. All suggestions welcome

There's a Holiday Inn Express 200yds away, if you catch it right you might get a £39 room...

As above and sign up for the Travelodge website newsletter. Every couple of months they have a spree of sale rooms for as little as £29 per room per night in London and there's one right by Euston station..

There's precious little in the Hammersmith area but you can sometimes hit on incredible deals at a good hotel roughly halfway between the two areas such as the Corus Hyde Park.

Try this link supplied by Brucy bonus on a previous post to get 2 nights for the price of 1 at the holiday inn.

Brent cross only £37.50 a night for double or family room, shuttle service to/from Brent cross tube, which is 7 stops on same line (Northern) to Euston-so 10-15 mins travel and London Bus no 266 goes direct to Hammersmith from the Shopping Centre opposite the hotel but about an hour on the bus, so would be quicker to get the tube, change at Kings Cross to get the piccadilly line to Hammersmith.

www.travelodge.co.uk has £29 rooms available for 22 and 23rd May (not 24th) at the Park Royal hotel. It is 5 mins to the tube station (on the piccadilly line- same line as Hammersmith station- five stops so about 10 mins on train). From Euston you would go on the Northern line 1 stop to Kings Cross, change onto the Piccadilly to Park Royal (as quicker tube routes, but involve more changes). Click on saver link and book each night separate to get his rate.

I would book asap as this is the start of the half term school holiday week.

  • Thanks for the links, unfortunately think i'm looking too early for to get offers on the dates i want so will keep looking nearler the date

The earlier you book cheap London hotels ie. travelodge etc, the better the rate usually. Sometimes there are £9 travelodge saver rooms, but these are rarely for London hotels or a Saturday night. You have the added problem of the school holidays starting the weekend you are coming to London-so many families will be looking for cheap accomodation then and booking it up in advance-so no need for extra offers. Normal travelodge prices are £75+, Holiday inns £100+ a night nearer the date.
