Re-apply to Halifax

Options
Alright folks,

I canceled my Halifax card in March, I now want to re-apply to it to use as a stoozing card (after capital 1 did the downgrade me to another card trick). So the question is when can I re-apply for a new Halifax cc ?

Regards

Pete

From memory ( not that good) i think its 9 months 0r a year, if you want to take up their 0% bt offer, you could open it again now, just say you made a mistake,,risky though. i did that with MBNA and got the 0% offer even though i closed it only 2 months previous. Why not try another card?
  • Well have a egg card, got a virgin card, been turned down for a capital one (well the decent card) so Halifax looked the next one for stoozing !

Any card would do, virgin are in the MBNA family, and you can have 2 cards at least with them, they also come with fairly good limits, i got £18k, while only getting £3k with natwest and citicard, though did get £7k with barclaycard, i assume it's the egg money card, not the other?

I understand Halifax is a one month wait only.

You can have two Halifax cards simultaneously, just not two of the same cards, ie you can't have two "Halifax One" cards.

The second one usually has to be an affiliate card such as NSPCC/Cancer Research, or one run for another banking institution such as N&P/Britannia etc.

Hi, you can apply again 30 days after the old one was cancelled. I did this last year and I think it's still the same!
