:money: We had a Mira shower and it lasted us 17years(yes 17 years) .It finally gave up the ghost and we replaced it with a Gainsborough 3 years ago.We have had to replace parts 4 times and now it is totally unusable. When we can afford it we will be installing a Mira again .My sister had her bathroom done and insisted on a Mira because of the service we had with ours. She was told to expect only about 2 years service from it because that`s how long showers lasted in her area because of the hard water. It is now about 5-6 years and she has no problems.0

You will find that Mira showers are made in the same fatory as B&Q showers in China or whichever countyr makes them. THe problem is that the B&Q ones will use cheaper parts and in most cases will not last as long. I used to be a importer and we imported goods that were made in the same factory and as Tesco (the product was the same) only our product used cheaper parts to get the price down or in some cases the same price as Tesco's better product.
Best bet in my experience is to by the best you can afford at that time.0 -
Hi, Mira Showers only make showers for themselves and do not re-brand, prices can seem a little high but you are paying for an excellent after sales support service.0

Hi again,
I used to be a buyer of confectionery and we imported 90% of our products from China. I used to go to all the trade shows over the world and I a lot of the things I used to see opened my eyes. For instance we had a marshmallow and chocolate dip item and our chocolate was Nestle chocolate but under our own brand. We also had a sweet and toy combo and our toy was made from the same mould as one of Tescos toys. When you go to the food trade shows you get all the big brands willing to give you there products with there names on it. below is a link to one of the biggest shows of private label food items in the world.

the next time you buy a pair of jeans or shoes look closely at the label and most of them say something about being produced by x company under licence from the big brand. Companys like Tesco and Asda do not make any of there on items they are all licensed out to smaller companies, Have you ever saw a Tescos buscuit factory. Companys like B&Q are the exact same and they will ask companies like Mira to make there showers.
Never believe a label as 9 times out of 10 it is not that company that make it0 -
Not sure if this has been mentioned but Mira do a budget range called "Essentials"
