    Just check the cover details.
One i looked at covered personal money up to £200 , but only when on person or in a safety deposit box. The cash limit was £100.
    The excess was £120..

So no matter what cash you lost you would get nothing back.
Travellers cheques would be covered anyway.
So basically the personal money cover was non existant..

This is typical of the cover on travel insurance policies now. Its only any good for medical emergencies ( so check the excess on that part of the policy).
  • I have always used www.charterflights.co.uk/travel-insurance

They offer a competitive range of policies and if you change your mind you can cancel. The cover summary is explained really well making it easy to compare to other policies and know exactly what you are getting.

    May be worth a look.
