How much did you spend? 20/10/05

7 days, whooppppeee do!! (until im debt free of course!!!).

I was off work yesterday, been feeling a bit groggy all week, going to bed ridiculously early, like 7pm, so had yesterday off to recharge my batteries. Feel a lot better for it, but happy the weekend is just round the corner. Ive nothing planned (the sad person that I am), but I dont care ;0)

Today i spent 60p (i know!!!) on some Soothers, I think they're more mind-over-matter, but never mind. Also returned two tops to Topshop, which I bought in a moment of madness 3 weeks ago but havent worn, so am expecting £60 back on my debit card.... (see, even if I do impulse buy, the items either end up going back or being sold on ebay, I just cant do it anymore!!).

So with £80 left this month, plus £60 is £150 (and I get paid next Thursday), so im going to try and save £100 of that...

Im adding up how much im going to need to spend to go travelling, its SOOOOO expensive, even just getting Visa's, backpack, insurance. I think I might be ebaying all of my wordly posessions soon :0)

How are you dealing-with-debter's going to be dealing with Christmas? Ive decided not to bother, is that harsh? Probably, bah humbug to me!!!

I've spent nothing so far. Yay! It's quite some progress for me as I'm usually tempted to supplement my packed lunch with a bowl of salad from the canteen at work, but not today.

However I am starting my evening class in dress making tonight and apparently you need to turn up with some material to practice on, so with short notice I'll be popping into John Lewis to buy some curtain lining material or something equally cheapy cheap

    :hello:

I slept in today, so didn't have time to make lunch. Went to Boots though and used my points for a meal deal :D .

After watching 'You are what you wear' last night I woke up so tempted to go out and spend loads on new clothes. The thought of having to admit it on this thread put me off though!! I did get a pair of earrings from topshop at lunchtime - reduced to £3 so will have to be happy with that! I wish the bbc would just show bank of mum & dad instead!

Ms_london - I'm not really doing xmas this year either. Will get some charity xmas cards but not really thinking of getting any major pressies for anyone. All my family have got too much stuff anyway :p .

I did a dressmaking course last year and it was one of the best things I've ever done-I made a skirt in the 'project weeks' that I am so so proud of :-)

Not only do you save money on new clothes, you can make something that no-one else will ever have!

...going back to the point of this thread, I have spent £1.89 today on a coffee and flapjack whilst waiting for a meeting at a job agency.
