virgin media will not give me free m tv with phone? help, are they miss selling?

hi, i currently pay £10 a month with vigin for broadband and i am currently with bt for the phone.
contract expires in a month and i just phoned virgin to ask for the xl phone (£18.95) and broadband for £4.50 extra (total £23.45) then asked to throw in the m tv for free as it states on their web site ( http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/service.do?id=1 ).
they said no, because i already have the discount on the broadband.???
so i said it says online its free.
they then said there will be a disclaimer online saying you can't have free tv, but i can't find it.
so are they miss advertising and can i insist on them giving me the free m tv?
anyone help here?
thanks

Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.

You took the broadband offer, so you are not eligible for the tv offer also.
    Gone ... or have I?

not being funny, but if this is how they start the discussion, can you imagine what they'll be like when you're a paid up tv customer?

Can you wait for your virgin contract to end then cancel it, or get sky instead?
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

Most companies will try and retain their customers. So if you state you are going to cancel they may offer you a special deal to keep you.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

This is what I did 2 weeks ago
I had a letter offering me all three Phone ,Internet and TV on XL for £56.00

I then happend to click on this page
    http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/specialoffers/index.html
If you look at the offer on the right
    it says this
    SOhub_right_long_extra.jpg

So I phoned customer service and asked for this price .
I was told it was for new sign ups only .But they agreed it seemed a bit misleading so repriced mine to match .
