had currys dropped it. i paid a small fortune for a telly in store. it was stored on high shelving around the edge of the store. the chap dropped it on the floor and looked tosee if i had noticed then he proceeded to try and palm me off with the fact that the packaging would protect it!!!! i demanded another one and watched him very closely. their policy seems to be that we are right you are thick keep onto them and got to the area manager as the shop manager is never available in my experience we no longer shop at currys good luckIts not how far you fall but how high you bounce back that matters

Thanks for all your replies!
The item is faulty, I'm sure of it. I know my technology and this guy connected to an unsecured network using Vista and took it out 2 minutes later. He didn't even attempt to connect to the Internet or anything. He even admitted he knew nothing about the product and I've seen many complaints online about the mdoel i have doing this also. =(
I have 3 other different wireless adapters that all work flawlessly so it's not my setup which I know is just fine. I've even had a professional network engineer friend of mine come over and tell me that my network settings etc. were fine incase I'd missed something.0 -
Maybe try a different Currys if you can0

I would put money on there being nothing wrong with it at all and you just being too much of a know it all to read the instructions:rolleyes:0 -
you can get a refund on the fit for purpose act....you tell them i want it for this they say it can do this you take it home and doesn't do what they said then you can get a refund.....doesn't have to be broken or not working
its been proven many times the people in currys pcworld etc are idiots and i wouldn't trust one with a mouse never mind a router or tvIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -

Piffle, how many wireless cards have you installed? I have installed quite a few and have had various problems over that time. One of them actually crashed a whole home network, yet seemed to working perfectly. It is not just a case of if the light is on then it must be working, sometimes they look like they are performing fine but are actually causing other problems.0 -
xeriouxi and smcaul
I wouldn't get too worked up about the replies from Oooooooohhhh.
If you have a look at all of their previous posts, occasionally you find a one that addresses the point and is helpful but eventually they disintegrate the thread into insults and rudeness designed to get a reaction and annoy people.
Ignore them and they usually go away."carpe that diem"0
